Rosetta Primary School is a school situated in the suburb of Rosetta which overlooks Mona and the Derwent River. It is a school that values and builds a strong sense of a positive community with all who join it.
Our Vision is ‘Learning for Life’. Our school community aspires to excellence in learning to reflect the vision. To enable this we create a high achieving learning environment for all. Communication, creativity, collaboration and citizenship are important aspects which are in place each day.
The Australian Curriculum is inherent within our planning along with technology use. Our language other than English is Japanese and we provide specialised classes in Health and Physical Education, Music and Drama. Our students, Prep – Grade 6 have the opportunity to be leaders in many areas of school life: the Student Representative Council (SRC), eTeam, and Good Citizens, to name a few.
We use both positive behaviour support and restorative practice pedagogy to ensure that students are developing socially and emotionally with resilience. Our social and emotional learning is further enhanced through the explicit teaching of core elements such as: optimism, courage and success in every classroom. Our school is an accredited Kidsmatter school which supports the mental health and well-being of all in our school community.
Each day, Rosetta PS is welcoming and engaging for those who participate in the learning. It develops learners ready for their future.
