Principal’s Report
A Special Easter hello and greetings to all our families.
We are very close to the Easter Holidays now and we hope families take the time to enjoy the break and to relax and share in activities with friends and families.
School concludes this week on Thursday March 28 and resumes again on Wednesday 3 April.
Reports will be sent home with students on Thursday 28 March. We encourage all families to share with their children the reports and discuss their progress.
Last week it was great to see students engaging in Harmony Day activities and developing their understandings of respect and cultural diversity. It was also a busy week with many students responding to the call out to wear green and support the Jack Jumpers Basketball Team – while also raising funds for our AED device (Automated External Defibrillator Device). The school raised $217.00 for this activity and Grade 5-6 A initiative. We thank everyone who supported such a worthwhile activity.
In Week 10 of Term 1, we are looking forward to seeing our families at our World of Learning Event – please keep the date of Thursday 11 April free to visit with us. Classrooms will be open from 2:00 pm and then other activities will be available to join until 3:30. More details will be available closer to the time.
Happy Easter and stay safe and well.

The bookmark also provides a QR Code to join Libraries Tasmania.
NOTE: students joining SORA will need to have their own student login details. This will only be possible for students from Grade 3 -6. However, all students and their families can join Libraries Tasmania which is free access.

A Harmony Message from Toby (5-6A student)
Harmony Week is a celebration that recognises our diversity and brings together all Australians from all diverse backgrounds. It is about inclusiveness, respect, and a sense of belonging for everyone.
Wearing orange can help support and remind us about being respectful of everyone and respecting everyone’s background.
Why do we celebrate?
To recognise people from different countries who have come to Australia. Harmony Week is an opportunity for all Australians to embrace cultural diversity and to share and enjoy what we all have in common.

Launching into Learning Excursion Wednesday 3 April
Dear parents and carers,
On Wednesday 3 April the Launching into Learning group will be visiting
The Chigwell Community Garden and the Berriedale Foreshore Reserve
The bus will leave Rosetta Primary School at 9.00am for a 9.15am start at The Community Garden. Please meet in the kindergarten forecourt (where children ride the tricycles) to have your attendance checked prior to boarding the bus by 9.00am.
At the garden children will see what is growing and learn about how plants grow. We will go on a “Veggie Hunt” and see compost worms in action and learn about their importance in the garden. To finish the session children will make a garden inspired craft item to take home.
The program at The Chigwell Community Garden will run for one hour. Then we will board the bus for morning tea and play at The Berriedale Foreshore Reserve and return to school by 11.00am.
We recommend that children are wearing appropriate clothing and sturdy shoes or boots for the outdoor activities. Please bring all morning tea provisions for your child/children.
Please RSVP for this excursion on the RSVP sheet in the Launching into Learning classroom or the Rosetta Primary School office.
** Please note your child will need to be enrolled in the Launching into Learning program to attend this excursion. If you are unable to come on the day, please phone the School Office on 62 081200.

E Team
The E team students have been busy making some signs to put in our garden beds to remind students to stay on the paths. The students worked hard on their designs and then voted for their favourites. Four have been chosen - Maika, Rory C, Mia-Rose, Annabel G and Emily M. Congratulations to those students.
Our fun fact this week is...
